Akıncılar Traditional Archery and Sports Club will represent the TRNC at an international traditional archery competition in South Korea. The team, led by club president Mustafa Kemal Ünverdi, posed with the TRNC flag before setting off.
Alongside Ünverdi, the nine-member delegation of women and men includes Aigül Gaziköylü, Leman Ünverdi and Osman Tez. The archers will compete in the club's black and red kit.
According to reports in the Turkish press, the international traditional archery competition in South Korea will be held from 30 October to 4 November, with Turkey's national traditional archery team also taking part with women's and men's teams.
Traditional archery is practised with traditional bows and aims to keep this bow culture alive alongside marksmanship. Kıbrıs Akış will follow the team's results.
