The Democratic Party (DP) in the north of Cyprus has drawn up its candidate lists for the parliamentary elections on a district-by-district basis. According to the unofficially announced lists, the party will field a total of 50 candidates across six electoral districts.
Prominent names head the lists in three key districts. Tosunoğlu takes first place in Nicosia, Akpınar leads the list in Kyrenia, and Ataoğlu tops the ballot in Famagusta.
An official announcement on the candidate lists is expected shortly, when the party is due to publicly confirm the names chosen for each district.
With its lists now taking shape, the DP has moved into a new phase of its election preparations.
