TRNC President Tufan Erhürman held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his delegation during his visit to Ankara for the Turkic States Organization Summit. Erhürman stated that the two leaders had the opportunity to assess the latest developments regarding the Cyprus issue at the highest level and in full consultation.
Sharing the details on his social media account, Erhürman said: "Among other matters, we had the opportunity to evaluate the latest developments on the Cyprus issue in full consultation and at the highest level." He also extended his thanks to President Erdoğan for his warm hospitality.
The Ankara visit underlined the ongoing coordination between the TRNC and Turkey on the Cyprus negotiation process, taking place at a time when diplomatic activity around the issue remains closely watched.
