People's Party (HP) parliamentary candidate Özbir Akbaşak has called for the restoration of public trust in politics and working life, saying that a deep erosion of confidence in institutions has become one of the most pressing issues facing society. In a written statement issued on behalf of his party, Akbaşak said they would fight under the leadership of party chairman Kudret Özersay to build a system that protects citizens' rights, prioritises their health and ensures that hard work is properly rewarded.
Akbaşak stressed that justice must be felt in every aspect of daily life, not merely proclaimed in political speeches. He emphasised the importance of a governance model based on merit, where citizens do not feel abandoned when seeking their rights.
Noting that problems in health, agriculture and education cannot be viewed in isolation, Akbaşak said sustainable and planned policies rooted in the real needs of society are urgently required. He listed easier access to healthcare, support for producers and equal opportunity in education among his party's top priorities, adding that their goal is not simply to voice problems but to produce tangible solutions that restore public confidence in the future.
