Iranian Defense Minister Mehrdad Ahlaki Kitapçi announced that the country's armed forces are rapidly enhancing their combat capabilities to be able to respond to any threat without geographic restrictions. The statements were made in line with directives from Iran's supreme leader Mujtaba Khamenei, according to Iranian media.
Ahlaki emphasized Iran's resolve to develop smart combat power, stressing that the armed forces would neither be caught off guard nor halted by external pressure.
"We are rapidly increasing the combat power of our armed forces to respond without geographic boundaries. We will neither be taken by surprise nor stopped. Every attack will receive an appropriate, decisive and effective response," the minister said.
Ahlaki also stressed that Iran would not depend on the will of other states in advancing its scientific and technological capabilities, signaling a broader defiance of international pressure amid heightened regional tensions.
