The Republican Turkish Party (CTP) has said that bribery investigations linked to the Prime Ministry and public tenders have undermined public trust in the administration. In a written statement titled "100% Honesty, 100% Accountability", the party stressed the need for transparency and accountability in public administration.
The statement claimed that citizens are forced to seek money or political connections in order to get their business done at government offices. The CTP said this system must change and that changing it is among its goals.
The party announced that in the new period public transactions would be made traceable, independent oversight would be increased and anti-bribery mechanisms would be strengthened.
Emphasising that public administration must not be used as a tool for personal benefit, the statement concluded: "Governing the country is not a gateway to personal gain!"
