Damla Soyalp, the Republican Turkish Party (CTP) candidate for Gönyeli-Alayköy Municipality, visited the Gönyeli Tuesday Market and met with producers, traders and local residents. She was accompanied by CTP Secretary General Mehmet Kale Kişi, members of parliament, parliamentary candidates and municipal council candidates.
During the visit, the delegation listened to the concerns and suggestions of market vendors and producers, assessing the current conditions of the marketplace firsthand. The most prominent issue raised was the need for a covered market facility that could be used comfortably in all weather conditions.
Soyalp stated that Gönyeli needs an enclosed market where citizens can shop without being exposed to summer heat or winter rain, and where producers and vendors can operate under better conditions. "Our goal is to create an organised and functional space that takes into account the needs of producers and tradespeople," she said, adding that the covered market project would be among her top priorities if elected.
