Famagusta (Gazimağusa) mayoral candidate Koral Bozkurt visited Doğa College and Doğa Primary School as part of his election campaign, outlining his approach to local government and his goals for the city. Bozkurt said every municipal project would be carried out with predetermined start and end dates, adding: "If I cannot change the destiny of Famagusta, I will not consider myself successful."

Reports differed on who welcomed Bozkurt during the visit, which was also attended by municipal council candidates. Two sources said he was received by Orhan Süslü, described in one as Director of Eastern Mediterranean Doğa College and in the other as Coordinator of Doğu Schools. Another source reported that he was welcomed by the college's director, Okan Dilik.

Saying he has always been proud to be from Famagusta, Bozkurt noted there was much work to be done in the city. "My biggest goal is to show what can be achieved when things are managed properly," he said. He expressed respect for those who had served Famagusta in the past, saying that in previous roles he had focused on his own work rather than criticising his predecessors and would keep that approach during the campaign: "We wanted to talk about what we will do, and we will talk about what we will do."

Referring to his role at Mağusa Türk Gücü, Bozkurt said they had taken over a team fighting relegation and led it to major success. "We have made it the number one team in Cyprus right now. I would like to achieve the same in our city," he said.

Bozkurt said he wanted to bring his achievements in business and sports management to the municipality, explaining that the institutional structure of his companies allowed him to devote time to the role. "After all, I will spend my working hours in Famagusta, at the municipality," he said.

Stressing that planning and timely completion would be central to his administration, Bozkurt said: "Whatever needs to be done will be done with its start and end dates planned." He reiterated that he would measure his success by the change he brings to the city, his main aim being to change Famagusta's destiny.
