South Cyprus's big game hunting season is set to open this Sunday, November 1, and will run through December 27, according to reports in the Greek Cypriot press.
Ahead of the season, authorities released 75,000 partridges and 200 rabbits into the wild. Each hunter is subject to a daily bag limit of four partridges, one francolin, and one rabbit per hunting day.
Around 37,000 hunters are expected to take part in this year's season. All participants are required to log their catches through the "Artemis Cy" mobile application.
