Hasan Sadıkoğlu, who has served as mayor of İskele for three consecutive terms, formally submitted his candidacy for a fourth term at the İskele District Court. He was accompanied by his family, prospective municipal council members, and a group of supporters.
Speaking after the filing, Sadıkoğlu reaffirmed his commitment to serving İskele and its 21 affiliated villages, pledging to push forward with new projects in the coming term. "We are setting out again to take İskele to a better place than yesterday, to realise our new projects and to bring more beauty to these lands," he said.
Sadıkoğlu stressed that İskele is not merely a place of duty for him but the town where he was born and raised. "The trust you have placed in us has been our driving force. We have worked, produced and added value to İskele. Now we have new goals, new projects to deliver and unfinished work to complete," he added.
Candidates for municipal council seats also filed their applications alongside Sadıkoğlu, who underlined that the team would continue to work collectively for İskele and its villages. He concluded his statement with the campaign slogan: "Forward with confidence, forward with experience."
