Ufuk Akengin, one of North Cyprus's celebrated photography artists, has passed away suddenly, leaving friends, family and admirers in mourning.
According to information received, an autopsy is to be carried out before Akengin's remains are transferred to Turkey, where he will be laid to rest.
Akengin was widely recognised for his contributions to the art of photography in Cyprus and had earned the admiration of both the local arts community and the broader public. His unexpected death has come as a profound shock to all who knew him and followed his work.
