Northern Cyprus's Department of Religious Affairs has announced that the adhan (call to prayer) for Friday prayers will be recited at 12:30, following the end of daylight saving time.
In a written statement released by the department's press office, officials confirmed: "Since daylight saving time ends on Sunday, October 25, and clocks are set back for winter time, the adhan for Friday prayers will be called at 12:30, as has been the practice in previous years."
The annual clock change in Northern Cyprus results in shifts in prayer times, and the Department of Religious Affairs issues public notices each year to inform residents of the updated schedule during the transition period.
