Mehmet Harmancı, Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) and candidate of the Community Democracy Party (TDP), has publicly disclosed his personal assets ahead of the 6 December 2026 local elections. Following the same transparency practice he applied in the 2014, 2018, and 2022 local elections, Harmancı released both his current declaration and a reminder of previous ones.
According to his current declaration, Harmancı's inherited real estate — received as gifts from his parents — includes a shop in Karaoğlanoğlu, a one-third share of an 8-dönüm 1-evlek plot in Zeytinlik, two apartments in Girne Büyükova, two apartments in Upper Girne, a half share of a 6-dönüm 1-evlek plot in Karşıyaka, and a quarter share of a 2-evlek plot also in Karşıyaka.
In terms of liquid assets, he holds 2,391.76 Euros and 7,674.83 Pounds in a fixed deposit account, 3,616 Pounds in a joint account with his son, and 2,334 Euros in a personal account. His registered vehicle is a 2016 model Mercedes GLE, purchased in 2019, with the plate SG 257.
His 2022 declaration listed the same properties along with 6,189 Pounds, 1,308 Euros, and 336 Turkish Lira in savings, a 10 percent share in Northern Travel Ltd., and a 2010 Volkswagen Tiguan with the plate LF 832. His 2014 and 2018 declarations reflected a broadly similar asset profile.
By voluntarily releasing his financial history spanning over a decade, Harmancı has underscored his commitment to public accountability as he seeks another term leading the Nicosia Turkish Municipality.
