Turkey's Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) has announced its decisions following the controversial Galatasaray-Fenerbahçe derby, handing both clubs significant financial penalties and sanctioning individual players and officials.
Galatasaray were fined a total of 2,120,000 TL. The penalties related to offensive chanting by supporters, the number of accompanying children exceeding the number of referees and players in the ceremony, a dismissed player making statements in a mixed zone, and the display of the visiting club's unregistered logo on the scoreboard.
Fenerbahçe received fines totalling 1,277,500 TL, stemming from offensive supporter chanting, on-field incidents, collective unsporting conduct by the team, and a dismissed player speaking in the mixed zone.
On an individual level, Galatasaray defender Abdülkerim Bardakcı was handed a two-match ban and a fine of 67,000 TL for his role in the brawl. Galatasaray coach Serhat Doğan was suspended for 21 days and fined 50,000 TL for unsporting behaviour towards an opposing player.
Fenerbahçe midfielder Archie Brown received a three-match ban and a 100,000 TL fine for his involvement in the altercation. Fenerbahçe official Ahmet Aytar was also fined 50,000 TL for breaching regulations.
Both clubs were additionally subject to partial stadium closure orders. A number of Galatasaray supporters in specific blocks across the North, East, South and West stands had their electronic ticket cards blocked, barring them from the club's next home fixture.
