The National Unity Party (UBP) held an internal election at the Atatürk Sports Hall in Nicosia to select and rank its parliamentary candidates ahead of the early general election on December 6. Using a digital voting system for the first time in the party's history, 8,929 members cast their votes. According to the announced results, Faiz Sucuoğlu topped the list in Nicosia, Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu in Famagusta, Kutlu Evren in Kyrenia, Yasemi Öztürk in İskele, Ali Pilli in Güzelyurt and Aytaç Çaluda in Lefke. Hasipoğlu received the highest tally overall with 6,259 votes.

Voting began at 08:30 and was reported to have closed at 21:00, while Kıbrıs Gazetesi said balloting was completed at 21:10. The first votes were cast by UBP leader and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel and his wife Zerrin Üstel. Üstel said he was equally close to all candidates and that he and his wife had not expressed a preference. The number of candidates was given as 72 in one report and 71 in others. Hüseyin Paşa chaired the election council, with Şenol Canbolat as deputy; Paşa said the digital system worked smoothly and that voting took no longer than five minutes. The party's honorary leader Dr. Derviş Eroğlu and his wife Meral Eroğlu were also among those who voted.

In Nicosia, where eight candidates were selected, Sucuoğlu came first with 5,313 votes, followed by Ahmet Savaşan (5,148), Sadık Gardiyanoğlu (5,003), Olgun Amcaoğlu (4,853), Hasan Taçoy (4,664), Alişan Şan (4,530), Berhan Ongan (4,050) and Zorlu Töre (3,929). Batu Beyit finished ninth with 3,804. In Famagusta, which has six slots, Hasipoğlu was followed by Sunat Atun (5,270), Hüseyin Çavuş (5,011), Dursun Oğuz (4,895), Hakan Dinçyürek (4,710) and Resmiye Canaltay (4,501), with Lütfü Oflaz seventh on 3,808.

In Kyrenia, Kutlu Evren led with 4,463 votes, followed by Özdemir Berova (4,176), Hasan Küçük (3,888), Kaan Resa Saçar (3,716), Mehmet Hulusioğlu (3,567) and Murat Karalar (3,394). Seventh-placed Hüsrev Tancer trailed Karalar by 116 votes. In İskele, where two candidates were chosen, Yasemi Öztürk received 2,538 votes and Nazım Çavuşoğlu 2,472, with İsmail Demirci third on 2,385. Ali Pilli won in Güzelyurt with 3,203 votes and Aytaç Çaluda in Lefke with 2,876.

After the results were announced, objections were filed with the election council. Nine hopefuls initially requested a recount, and the total number of objections later rose to 16. As the official deadline for appeals expired, the council had yet to announce its decision.

Speaking after the vote, Üstel said turnout exceeded the party's 2018 and 2022 candidate selection votes, calling it "a record" and "your success." He argued that members had sent a clear message: "This message is a message of single-party government." Describing all candidates, whether or not they made the list, as fellow travellers, Üstel said the turnout was "a slap-in-the-face reply to those who said the UBP is finished" and reiterated that the party's goal is to govern alone.
