National Unity Party (UBP) MP Resmiye Eroğlu Canaltay has rejected reports claiming she objected to the results of the party's candidate selection congress.
In a post on her social media account, Canaltay noted that some press and media outlets had reported that she, too, had challenged the outcome. Responding to these claims, she said: "I have absolutely not raised any objection regarding the results."
Canaltay said she would carry out a personal assessment of the congress results and would make a public statement in line with that assessment.
Summing up her position, she stated: "As far as I am concerned, this is where things stand at the moment."
