The American University of Kyrenia (GAU) was represented at the 30th International Biomedical Science and Technology Symposium (BIOMED 2026), held at Yeditepe University's İnan Kıraç Conference Hall in Istanbul from October 23 to 25.
Prof. Dr. Terin Adalı, a faculty member of GAU's Faculty of Medicine, Department of Basic Medical Sciences, and Director of the Biomedical Sciences Research and Application Center, attended the symposium on behalf of the university.
Adalı presented a scientific study conducted by her team, titled "Gellan Gum–Silk Fibroin Biomimetic Hydrogels for the Regulation of Extracellular Matrix Regeneration and Cell–Biomaterial Interaction." The research represents an innovative approach in the fields of tissue engineering and biomedical materials.
Prof. Dr. Adalı stated that the symposium made significant contributions to strengthening collaboration among scientists and fostering new ideas in the biomedical field.
