A 49-year-old hotel kitchen worker, Mehmet Eyyüp Dikici, suddenly fell ill while on duty at a hotel in Kyrenia in the early hours of 31 October 2026, at around 00:30. He was rushed to Dr. Suat Günsel Kyrenia University Hospital, where medical teams were unable to save his life despite all efforts.
According to the Police Press Office, a physical examination carried out by the attending physician found no signs of assault or use of force on the deceased. An investigation into the circumstances of his death is ongoing.
