On the evening of 27 October 2026, security and traffic checks carried out on Manisa Boulevard in Güzelyurt led to the discovery of 300 grams of maraş herb in the possession of a passenger identified as S.Z., a 27-year-old male. The substance, whose importation is prohibited and which had not been declared to customs, was seized as evidence.
Customs officials issued an administrative fine against the suspect and initiated legal proceedings. The Police Press Office confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
