Nilden Bektaş Erhürman, wife of President Tufan Erhürman, visited rehearsals of the Polyphonic Children's and Youth Choirs operating under the Presidency. As part of the visit, Erhürman also attended an information meeting.
Following the Polyphonic Children's Choir, the first to be established under the Presidency, a Polyphonic Youth Choir has also been launched this term. The choirs aim to support the artistic development of children and young people, strengthen their aesthetic sensibility through music and contribute to passing cultural values on to future generations.
The Polyphonic Children's Choir, which began its work in March, gave its first concert in June. Following auditions, the choir will expand its ranks with newly invited members and continue its work in the new term.
The choirs are conducted by Emine Ferit and Erkan Dağlı, while piano accompaniment at rehearsals and performances is provided by Demet Alkan and Gözdem İlkay.
