Gönyeli–Alayköy Mayor Hüseyin Amcaoğlu has announced the successful completion of lighting installations at three roundabouts: the Kurakçıl Roundabout and those on the Gönyeli and Boğaz routes.
Amcaoğlu stated that the project is of significant importance for traffic and road safety, both within the municipality and across the country. The improved night-time visibility on routes used by thousands of residents each day is expected to make travel considerably safer.
The mayor extended his gratitude to the Development and Economic Cooperation Office of the Turkish Republic's Embassy in Nicosia for financing the materials required for the project. He also thanked the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, KIB-TEK, the firms involved, and the team members who contributed at every stage from planning through to implementation.
"We know the needs of our city. We are firmly committed to continuing to deliver lasting projects that add value to the daily lives of our citizens, in cooperation with our institutions," Amcaoğlu said.
