The 3rd Famagusta Book and Production Festival, co-organized by Famagusta Municipality and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Tradesmen and Artisans, will take place at Famagusta Bandabuliya from October 30 to November 1, under the theme "Resisting Through Production." The opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, October 30 at 16:30, and the public is warmly invited to attend.
Stalls representing Işık Bookstore, Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) Publications, Samtay Publications, and EZKOOP — an organization active in production and cooperative ventures — will be set up throughout the festival. Visitors can browse discounted books and enjoy complimentary tastings at the stands.
The three-day program features concerts, book signing sessions, author meet-and-greets, and folk dance performances. Workshops in ebru (marbling art), creative drama, and flute making, along with cultural games for children, are also on the agenda. A special Halloween DJ performance rounds out the entertainment lineup.
As part of the initiative, Famagusta Bandabuliya Market will open every Tuesday under the concept "From Producer to People," aiming to connect local producers directly with consumers.
