Yeniden Doğuş Partisi (YDP) Chairman Erhan Arıklı has announced that 15 women are included in his party's parliamentary candidate list, pushing back against a claim made by TAM Party leader Serdar Denktaş, who had put the number at 14.
In a written statement, Arıklı corrected Denktaş's figure and underscored YDP's commitment to female representation in the upcoming elections. He also highlighted Barış Demirkıran, listed 15th on YDP's Nicosia candidate roster, describing her as a lawyer, notary official, and mother of two children.
